I'm celebrating a new year of blogging with a fun swap hosted by Casey, Danielle, and Alycia!
My partner was Sharon, and I had so much fun putting her goody package together :)
I was equally excited to get her package in the mail (such a welcome change from the usual bills and junk mail!). Take a peek:
She did her homework and knows I like pretty paper! That's why I was especially excited to for those cute little tabs:
What a fun way to start off the new year!!!

Also, if I'm not around much during these next few days, it's because I'm in Alabama spending some time with my husband's side of the family! (But don't worry: Jack Handey will still make an appearance on Monday and you can still link up for Tickle me Tuesdays this week!)
One more thing... don't forget that you can win a $15 gift certificate to my shop via My Girl Thursday!

Spring Fling Earring Swap
Hello fellow readers!
Are you longing for spring? Ready for the winter blahs to be over and done with? Me too!
The calendar says it's just around the corner, but we'll see about Mother Nature! In honor of the official start to Spring, I'm hosting a Spring Fling Earring Swap!
(PS: Don't you love the image for this button? It's from the lovely Jacqui from Craftee McGee's!)
(PS: Don't you love the image for this button? It's from the lovely Jacqui from Craftee McGee's!)
Here's how it will work:
1. Sign up by March 1st (details below).
2. Buy a pair of earrings for your swap partner. The limit is $20.00. That means if you score a cute pair of earrings for $6, you buy three!!
3. Mail out your earring goodness no later than March 20th.
4. If you'd like, blog about what your swap partner sent you (with pictures! We'd love to see!) then come back here and link up with a special linky in the first week of April.
***A word about sending your swap partner earrings you've made yourself:
Please don't, unless you have your own handmade shop where you already sell quality handmade earrings. Let's leave the earring-making to the professionals, shall we?
If you want in, here's what you need to do:
Send me an email ( sarah at yesteachercrafts dot com ) with the following information:
Name
Mailing address
Blog URL (if you have a blog, that is. If you don't, that's fine!)
Preferences (Do you like long and dangly earrings? Subtle? Feminine? Floral? Gold/silver/other colors?)
Special note (can you only wear nickel-free earrings or hypoallergenic earrings? Let me know!)
And that's it! Please let me know by March 1st if you'd like to participate. Once I get everyone's info, I'll let you know who your partner is! Fun, fun, FUN!

International Craft Swap
Have you heard about the International Craft Swap that Zoe from A Giraffe in a Scarf is hosting? She's going to pair up crafters from all over the world for a craft exchange. And you can make anything for it! Knit, sew, paint, draw, crochet, whatever!
I've done two swaps from around the blogosphere and each one was sooooo fun! I just know this one is going to be a blast, too!
The sign up is open until March 1st, and the best part is that you have a full six months to create your item and get it to your assigned partner!
I've already signed up. Won't you join me?

Headband Swap
I recently participated in the Headband Swap on Danielle's blog (Take Heart). My partner was Kelly from Fly with Me -- she's kinda new to the blogging world; you should all go give her a big welcome!
I had so much fun shopping for Kelly's headband! I ended up getting two. One from Bee Frances and one from Clementiny Clothing.
Kelly sent me the sweetest items! And check out this cute packaging:
And here are the goodies inside:
The headband is PERFECT! And can you believe she made those earrings and that sequin headband?? She should totally open up her own shop, don't you think?
I'm feeling spoiled! Thanks, Kelly, and thank you Danielle for organizing this fun event!
