My first tent camping experience

Before this summer, I had never camped in a tent. A few years ago, my husband and I drove from Michigan to California and camped at 10 different national parks... but we slept in the back of a Saturn Vue, so it didn't really count!

This time we were in Maine, visiting my little brother who I hadn't seen in TWO YEARS!

It rained the entire first night of my tent camping experience. Boo! But the second night, we had delicious hot dogs:

And my younger sister just loves to goof around with our brother:


But the best part of camping? The s'mores!!

In the end, the damp tent (stupid rain!) and the sore hips from sleeping on the ground makes me think that maybe we are more "RV" type people :)

    We are for sure tent campers! We LOVE camping (although since we had a little one, we haven't done much of it). Isn't it amazing how much better a hot dog can taste when you're camping ;-)

    S'mores! I wouldn't even sleep in my Care Bear tent outside as a kid. I am 100% an indoor sleeper.

    Tenting in the rain is the pits - everything gets wet and damp and raw. I know how tenting in Maine in the rain is... living here and all. Otherwise, I hope the Maine experience is a good one so that you'll think about coming back.

    I'm not a tent gal...I hate the no "potty" thing in the middle of the night. I have slept in an RV and that's ok, but I grew up going to the lake with my grandparents and we always stayed in a cabin...I like that the best! :-)

    What fun!! I have never been in an RV before and I believe that I only slept in a tent once. I am more of a cabin type person. lol. :)

    I'm such a wimp! I need a bed, bathroom and electricity! However, I love a campfire (translate, fire pit on the patio) for making s'mores!!

    My family has always been tent campers, but we only go to state parks that have bathrooms with showers. We've been all over Texas if you ever want park recommendations!

    My boyfriend refuses to tent camp and will only sleep in a cabin. I tell him he's a big baby. :)

    LOVE CAMPING>>>we just sold our 5th camper because our weekends got so busy we couldn't use it like we used to. But both our kids grew up camping most of the summer and we just love it. campers are the best cuz u have ac and a nice bed so i have to admit i'm kinda spoiled now. You looked too cute to be camping!Must be nice...i aways look a mess when we camp:)

    we camp via tent! One day we plan to upgrade, but right now, it's all about the tent :)
