Not that I'm biased or anything, but the best ice cream on Earth can primarily be found in Germany and it's a dish called Spaghetti Eis. See what I'm talking about?
Vanilla ice cream is pressed through a type of handheld device and comes out looking like noodles. Strawberry sauce is made to look like the tomato sauce, and shaved white chocolate is supposed to be the parmesan.
It tastes like heaven, and it's fun to eat too! Here's my mom and I enjoying our treats a few summers ago. Man, I wish I was there now!
What's your favorite summer treat?

A first
I know St. Patrick's Day was last week, but it's still on my mind!! While I was on Spring Break in Michigan last week, I had my first Shamrock Shake. McDonald's sells these yummy mint shakes only in the month of March, and only in certain states (find the shake where you are!)
On the way up to Michigan, I asked my husband what they tasted like anyway.
"Are they pistachio?" I said.
"No, they taste like ground up shamrocks and leprechauns. In fact, you have to pick out all the red beard hairs."
Yes, I married a real funny man.
In any case, when I finally tasted my first Shamrock Shake, I was ADDICTED! Seriously so tasty, people. But they don't sell them here in Texas so I'm going into withdrawal.
Can you get them where you are? And if you can, will you go get one for me?!

Fun with photos
Have you guys heard of Dumpr? It's this really fun site I heard about through Malia from Yesterday on Tuesday. I've been playing around with it, and I'm here to show off my creations ;).
I started with this picture of my sister and I eating ice cream at Disneyland this summer (I'm on the left):
Then I added in some special effects! Like paparazzi:
And photo to sketch:
And museum:
And something called Lomo:
And sketch artist:
Have fun playing around with your own pictures!

Sinless treats
Last weekend, my husband and I were at a major sporting event. I love sporting events purely for the food... you know, that junky, bad-for-you-but-really-delicious food. I decided I wanted a frozen lemonade (kind of a giant popsicle you eat out of a container with a spoon) and as I was enjoying it, I happened to look down at the nutritional information--that was my first mistake! At first I thought "80 calories and 17 grams of sugar isn't that bad for this giant container!".

I'm completely in love with this ice cream summer print from Haunted House of Projects:

And then I looked closer and saw that that was PER SERVING and there were FOUR servings per container!
Oops.
Here are some delicious Etsy ice cream treats that contain NO calories, NO fat, and NO sugar:
How about this lovely ice cream bookmark from Beacon Bookmarks? Perfect for your summer beach reads!

Tempt your senses with this lovely mint chip candle jar from Sugarville:

Send out your summer barbecue invitations with these delightful ice cream address labels from Letter C Design:

And this mini soapsicle set from Howard's Home looks good enough to eat!

Hmmmm. I have a sudden craving for some Ben and Jerry's...
