When you wish upon a goal....

When it comes to your life, do you make wishes or do you make goals? Because there's a difference!

They both start with the same thing: a vision! But making a goal involves taking actionable steps towards making your vision a reality. A wish is just Hopefulness without feet to take it anywhere!

One of the ways you can help your wish become a goal become a REALITY is just taking the time to write it down. Check out some of these cute ways to record your goals:

1, 2, 3

When I started my little shop over a year ago, I had one goal: Make enough profit to go to Starbucks once a week and not feel guilty about it :). I'm excited to say, I've hit 150 sales!

And thanks to my handy spreadsheet, I actually know how much I've made :)

For about a year before I actually opened up shop, I sat around wishing I owned an etsy shop. Wishing, and wondering if I could really do it. Does this sound like you? Write down what you want to happen, and then start taking baby steps!

What about you? Have you made (or reached!) any goals lately?

The last time I was there, I bought two stamps and made these sweet mini cards with them:

I wish I could.....

.... paint.

Do you ever wish you were good at something? My brother's girlfriend Lindsay is a crazy talented artist - she does paint and collage and uses interesting "canvases" like chestnut trees.

When we were in Maine this summer, we went to a local cafe that was showcasing her work:

I love her creativity! Here she is with my brother:

Lindsay has an etsy shop and a website too.

What do you wish you could do?

Friends Forever

It would be super nice if I had the kind of life where friends would drop by my place all the time, unannounced.

But, this isn't a T.V show, and my college years are long gone. Instead, my friends are spread out all over the country and many of them live inside my computer (haha!). Thank goodness I married my best friend or I would be the crazy cat lady.... ahem.

Still, there are times when I really wish I had local friends that I could call up to go shopping or out for a bite to eat. Getting together with friends from work has been difficult, and there's only one other person I've befriended since moving to Texas.

It doesn't help that I'm rather introverted to begin with... and tend to do better hanging out with just one or two other people at a time!

I absolutely love blogging, and I cherish the personal connections that I've made from it! There are times, though.... times when I miss the face-to-face interaction.... ya know?
