In the Bedroom

Today's Inspiration Workshop is all about the bedroom. And for the first time in 9 years of marriage and four different apartments/houses, I can say that I truly do like our bedroom. Here's a peek:

I made the silhouette art of my husband and me. Here's a closer look:

But the wall across our bed needs something. I'm thinking a bold and graphic decal.

I love that our bedroom is a pretty place to relax. How do you feel about yours?

  1. just lovely! it looks so peaceful, perfect for the bedroom :) i'm also encouraged to hear you haven't always been happy with your bedroom. ours is a disaster and i feel so bad for neglecting it, but the rest of the house needs even more help so we've been focusing out attention there, so you know ;)

  2. So cute! I've moved around so many times this past year that I'm waiting for something a little more permanent before I start decorating.

  4. hmmmm, well, our bedroom is a bit bland. We moved into this house back in Sept. and I haven't really done much to our bedroom because I don't know what direction I want to take. We just got a new dresser (well, new to us. It's actually an old dresser that's been redone), and are having some of our other furniture repainted. SO, I'm hoping once all those pieces are complete and back in the bedroom I will have more of a vision.

  5. Right now our bedroom is one of the biggest rooms in our apartment so unfortunately it gets filled with some items that can't fit into storage in other places. However, I do love that it's tucked into the roof. What I mean is that it's shaped like a triangle in that the ceiling slope downward. I will miss that when we move.

The place we might be moving to has an even smaller bedroom so that'll be interesting! We'll make due somehow :)

  6. I love the silhouettes! And I think that big blank wall is the perfect place for a collage of baby and new family photos! ;)

  7. Your room looks so peaceful and serene. We bought our house 5 years ago, and the bedroom is my least favorite room at the moment. The walls are purple, not pastel and not dark, and the carpet is green. Normally that is a pretty color combo but not in this case. Unfortunately, it's still going to be awhile before we redo this room. We've been concentrating on the rooms everyone sees.

  8. I don't like the colour of the walls in my flat. Trouble with rented flats, no paint choices.

  12. I love my bedroom. I have some empty walls that need work- I like the idea of graphic detail/wall sticker. I need a lamp next to my bed- love your matching ones.
