This week, we got back from visiting one of those homes (where my in-laws live in Michigan!). It was a lovely visit and I miss everything about it:
I didn't know red barns actually existed until I met my husband's family!
My MIL and nephew looking for frogs at the pond behind the house.
Relaxing on the dock
Going out to eat!
(I'm linking up with Casey today!)
Looks like a wonderful place. I'm very partial to red (round) barns. :)

My in-laws live in Michigan too! It's such a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteThere's no reason to feel guilty about missing family. With my husband being from Texas, I'm familiar with the 100+ degree heat there in the summertime. Keep heart... maybe they'll visit you in the TX.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great vacation...very relaxing & fun!
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks like a great getaway. Love the shot on the dock looking for frogs...too cute!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard not having family around, we're in the same boat..makes those visits so much more special though. :-)
Wow! It looks so pretty there! and I love that red barn! I can't beleive it has a porch. That is so cool!
ReplyDeleteI live in Texas and have my whole life. I can agree the heat is just miserable. The radio said it would be 105 today! Something is just wrong with that!
Your blog is adorable! I am so glad that I found it!
ReplyDeleteSO many things I love about this post! The red barn, the boat, a young child's curiosity.. all such precious things!
I see you have a shop, too so I'm going there next! :)
I adore the All Occasion Greeting card and the Amy Butler cards... gorgeous work!
ReplyDeleteI grew up visiting relatives in the midwest. You're pics make me long for those days.
ReplyDeleteit really is amazing how many pieces of our heart get left all over the place ... lovely photos of the outdoors.
