I left my heart in....

As you'll note from this post, there are a lot of places I call home!

This week, we got back from visiting one of those homes (where my in-laws live in Michigan!). It was a lovely visit and I miss everything about it:

I didn't know red barns actually existed until I met my husband's family!

My MIL and nephew looking for frogs at the pond behind the house.

Relaxing on the dock

Going out to eat!

It's really hard being back in Texas. We've only lived here for two years and there's no shred of family around. Plus, the Texas summer heat is just miserable! I'm trying to stay positive, but I'll admit that I left a piece of my heart in Michigan.....

(I'm linking up with Casey today!)

  5. There's no reason to feel guilty about missing family. With my husband being from Texas, I'm familiar with the 100+ degree heat there in the summertime. Keep heart... maybe they'll visit you in the TX.

  7. Sounds and looks like a great getaway. Love the shot on the dock looking for frogs...too cute!

It's hard not having family around, we're in the same boat..makes those visits so much more special though. :-)

  8. Wow! It looks so pretty there! and I love that red barn! I can't beleive it has a porch. That is so cool!
I live in Texas and have my whole life. I can agree the heat is just miserable. The radio said it would be 105 today! Something is just wrong with that!
